Vacuum Cooling is the quickest and most efficient cooling system for vegetable, fruit, flower and more. The vacuum cooling technology can strongly improve your product quality while reducing your cooling cost. Hence, this technology is becoming an acceptable environmental investment for almost every farmer.
How Vacuum Cooling Works
Cooling Through Evaporation
The technology leverages the principle that water boils at lower temperatures under reduced pressure. In a vacuum cooler, the pressure is lowered to the point where water boils at approximately 2°C. This evaporation process draws heat away from the products.
Rapid and Uniform Cooling
As a result of this process, products can be rapidly cooled down by 1°C to 2°C within a short timeframe of 2 to 30 minutes. This method is effective even for micro-perforated packaged goods.
Extended Product Lifespan & Energy Savings
The quick and uniform cooling action ensures that both the surface and the core of the produce reach the same temperature, significantly extending the product's shelf life. Additionally, this technology offers potential electricity savings and is more efficient compared to traditional cooling methods.

Main Components of Vacuum Cooling Systems
Vacuum Chamber
The size of the chamber is determined by the number of pallets intended for cooling and is subject to individual dimensional requirements. The chamber size dictates the quantity of vacuum pumps needed. Available vacuum pump brands include Dalouton (China), Leybold (Germany), and Busch (Germany).
Condenser System
Located inside the vacuum chamber, the condenser system condenses water vapor, ensuring dry air exits towards the pumps. Outside the chamber, a refrigeration system cools the condenser. Compressors for this heat exchange process are supplied by Bitzer or Hanbell.
Air Condenser
The simplest condenser construction, well-suited for smaller systems and easy integration.
Water Condenser
Offers low cost, high efficiency, and ease of installation, making it ideal for most district climates.
Evaporative Condenser
The optimal system for dry climates or regions with limited water availability.
Control and Conveyer Systems
Intelligent Control System
Our specifically developed control system ensures perfect cooling, even with partial loads. Target temperatures are reached quickly without freezing delicate vegetables. Processing data is collected and all relevant parameters are visible on the display.
Premium Electronic Components
Utilizing electronics from leading Korean suppliers and control valves & components from renowned suppliers like Danfoss & Leybold.
User-Friendly Operation
The system starts with a single push button. The touch screen display is intuitive and easy to operate, with multilingual menu options.
Standard Swing Door
The simplest manual operation door. The ramp is relatively small and mounted inside the cooling chamber.
Horizontal Sliding Door
An electrically driven door optimal for single pallet models and systems with more than 6 pallets, especially when the cooling skid is beside the vacuum chamber.
Upward Lift Door
A hydraulic system suggested for systems with 2-6 pallets. Offers easy installation and ramp construction. Can be combined with a roller belt system for maximum loading efficiency.
